Ideally placed to explore the many Border towns and attractions, it lies just 7 miles from Peebles and its myriad eating places, fine shops, theatre and arts centre, Neidpath Castle and Glentress extreme mountain bike centre. Trout fishing and hill walking are on the doorstep and local golf courses abound. Historic Traquair House and gardens 6 miles. Edinburgh (28 miles) offers a great day out.

Three bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with electric fire. Double bedroom with 6' bed and ensuite shower room/WC. Bathroom/WC (shower over bath). Two double bedrooms each with additional single bed (for + 1). Cloakroom/WC.

A fantastic location for anyone seeking a quiet holiday. Just 40 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, plenty of garden space for pets and our dog loved the space to run round in. Highly recommended!

This is without doubt the best cottage available anywhere in Scotland for anyone seeking peaceful surroundings. No passing traffic, lots of company (lambs), a nearby river with trout, and the Tweed 4 miles distant. The views are reminiscent of Norway and in my opinion much more attractive than the Highlands. Peebles boasts an absolutely superb butchers just 5 miles away, but in reality it may as well be a hundred, such is the tranquility. There was lots to see and do and no matter where we visited I remarked how well presented, clean and litter free each town or village appeared. We will return!
